The Hill: Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said in a Sunday interview that the U.S. economy is unlikely to return to its pre-pandemic strength before the end of 2020, but may begin gaining strength in the second half of the year.
In an interview with “60 Minutes” aired Sunday evening, Powell warned that while the U.S. economy would recover, it may take until the end of 2021 for the country to fully rebound from the downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
