USA Today: More than three-quarters of small community water systems across the nation with the most serious health-related violations of federal safe drinking-water regulations still were violating those rules three years later, according to a federal report released Tuesday.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency needs to do more to ensure that the small community systems, which serve more than 24 million people, stay in compliance, said the report from the EPA's Office of Inspector General.
