The Wall Street Journal (online registration required): WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court on Monday upheld a federal rule that calls for payments to businesses, schools and other large energy consumers that reduce their electricity usage at times of peak demand.
The court’s 6-2 ruling was a win for environmentalists and others that promote energy efficiency and conservation, including a growing cottage industry of firms helping companies cut energy costs.
