The Wall Street Journal (online registration required): WASHINGTON—The Senate Banking Committee this week plans to advance the nominations of two lawyers tapped to fill openings at the Securities and Exchange Commission, the committee announced Monday.
The banking panel is set to vote Thursday on the two nominees, George Washington University Law School’s Lisa Fairfax and Hester Peirce, a scholar at the Mercatus Center, a conservative think tank.
