Forbes: The introduction in the House and Senate of proposed legislation – known in the aviation community as PBOR 2 or Pilot’s Bill of Rights 2 – has received huge support among private pilots. Yet not much attention has been paid to this proposed legislation in the general media. Perhaps that is because the title of this proposed law is so misleading. It is not just about pilot rights. It potentially affects a broad swath of regulated aviation industries, including airlines, repair stations and aircraft manufacturers. And I think passengers and consumer groups should be aware of what this proposed law could mean for aviation safety. At least so that they can review the proposed legislation and comment on it.
