OPM: Cost of feds doing union work on the job tops $157 million

Federal Times: The cost of federal employees conducting union business while working increased by $1.6 million in fiscal 2012 to $157.2 million, according to a report released by the Office of Personnel Management Oct. 7.

So-called “official time” grew from 3.39 million hours to about 3.44 million hours – about a 1.3 percent increase, according to the report.
