Federal Times: The Obama administration will release its fiscal 2015 budget request on March 4, about a month past its legally required due date, the Office of Management and Budget announced Thursday.
In a statement, OMB spokesman Steve Posner attributed the delay to Congress’s belated wrap-up of fiscal 2014 appropriations legislation, completed only last week, saying that the administration can now finalize next year’s budget. “We are moving to complete the budget as quickly as possible to help Congress return to regular order in the annual budget process,” Posner said.
