The Wall Street Journal (online registration required): President Barack Obama signed a $1.1 trillion spending bill with little fanfare Tuesday night, officially ending the last budget fight of the year and ensuring that a government shutdown would be averted.
The White House confirmed late Tuesday that the president had approved the measure, which will fund most of the government through September.
