The Hill: Defense Secretary James Mattis has ben shut out of crucial Trump administration decisions, according to a new NBC News report.
The report, published Monday, said President Trump did not discuss pausing United States military drills with South Korea with Mattis before the landmark summit in Singapore about North Korea’s nuclear program.
One senior White House aide told news outlet that Mattis was aware the president could choose to halt the exercises.
