Trump's first comprehensive review of US nuclear forces nearly complete: report

The Hill: The Pentagon is nearly finished with a comprehensive review of the country’s nuclear arsenal, which could lead to more than $1 trillion in spending over the next couple decades, CNN reported Sunday.

The review is focused on deterrence, and will assess nuclear laboratories, nuclear stockpiles and manufacturing facilities. It also involves looking at how to modernize aging nuclear weapons, according to CNN.

President Trump ordered the review about a week after he took office. It is the first one to take place since 2010.
