Pentagon hires software acquisition specialist
FedScoop: The Defense Department has hired a special assistant focused exclusively on software acquisition.
Jeff Boleng will work under Ellen Lord, undersecretary of Defense for acquisition and sustainment, according to a news release.
“Boleng will formulate the Department’s software acquisition strategy, advise Department leadership on latest best practices in commercial software development, support the enterprise to build a team of top-tier software engineers, and work to develop modern software skills in the acquisition workforce,” the Pentagon said. Boleng will be part of Lord’s executive leadership team.
