Visa Waiver Program Countries Need Improved Information Sharing

Homeland Security Today: More than a third of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries have failed to share terrorism identity information as required by agreements between the United States and its overseas partners, exposing a glaring lack of counterterrorism communication, according to a new report released by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) called GAO’s report “disturbing” in light of the increasingly dangerous terrorist threat environment.
