FBI's covert command center gearing up for Super Bowl 50

San Francisco Chronicle: Workers taped black plastic over the windows at the FBI’s Joint Operations Center on Thursday, the final touches on a war room where dozens of agents will begin coordinating to keep the Bay Area safe during Super Bowl 50 and its accompanying events.

The secret nerve center, filled with scores of computers, phones and large monitors, will go live Saturday — when Super Bowl City along San Francisco’s Embarcadero opens — and run until after the Feb. 7 game at Levi’s Stadium.
