Future US Nuclear Spending Likely to Remain Strong

Defense News: After decades of procurement inactivity, all three legs of the US nuclear triad will need to be updated and modernized in the coming years. The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments projects that it will cost more than $700 billion over the next 25 years, but this will not overwhelm the national defense budget as nuclear costs will remain 5 percent or less of overall military spending.
