DHS Databases Still Not Integrated and Hard to Navigate, Report Says

Homeland Security Today: The existing architecture of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) myriad databases – known as the DHS Data Framework – which are crucial for the department’s many disparate components to perform their primary mission – were found to not be conducive to effective implementation of the “One DHS” policy. This policy was implemented to provide DHS personnel timely access to the relevant and necessary homeland security information they need to successfully perform their duties in protecting the homeland.
