Construction of DHS’s New Headquarters Gets ‘Reality Check’

Homeland Security Today: The 26-page report of a congressional study of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) new headquarters said it’s “unclear how active DHS officials were in choosing the site” and that the department's decision to push final completion back 10 years beyond the original schedule has resulted in delays in construction that have increased costs by 30 percent -- or about $1 billion.
