Congressional oversight of DHS must change, says new task force report

Government Security News: Nearly a decade after the 9/11 Commission issued its report on the greatest act of terrorism against the United States, one of the Commission’s most significant recommendations has not been acted upon. The need to consolidate congressional oversight of DHS is, in the words of Commission co-chair Thomas Kean, "maybe the toughest recommendation," because Congress does not usually reform itself.
