‘Robo calls’ can’t be made to certain phone numbers at PSAPs, says FCC
Government Security News: In order to prevent Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) from being bombarded by “robo calls” generated by automatic dialing equipment, the Federal Communications Commission is planning to establish a registry of specific telephone numbers operated by PSAPs that are not allowed to be dialed by such machines.
