Route Fifty: WASHINGTON — Projects at the state and local level with a share of funding and financing already lined up will have a better shot of getting federal dollars under President Trump’s promised infrastructure package, U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao indicated Monday.
“States and localities that have secured some funding or financing of their own for infrastructure projects will be given higher priority access to new federal funds,” Chao said on Monday morning at an event sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
