Government Technology: This week, Bellevue, Wash., City Manager Brad Miyake appointed Sabra Schneider as the city's new CIO — a position she has held in an interim capacity since Toni Cramer’s retirement in 2016.
Schneider started work with the city in 2015 as chief operations officer for the Information Technology Department. Prior to moving to Bellevue, Schneider had a long career with technology in the state of Washington, both in government and education. For three years, she worked in the Information Technology Department in the city of Seattle, and before that, she taught technology communications classes at the University of Washington.
