Arkansas Matters: MAYFLOWER, Ark. -- Still reeling from a deadly tornado two years ago, a small Arkansas town is taking big steps to keep its citizens safe.
The city of Mayflower is nearly done with its new storm shelter, featuring a sophisticated emergency command center. Mayor Randy Holland says the command center is unprecedented for a town this size, and possibly unlike anything else in the state. But, he says considering the lives lost back in 2014, it's a vital expense to take.
