Hartford Courant: HARTFORD — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's office said Tuesday that he will announce a revised plan for plugging a remaining $360 million projected deficit for the 2016-17 fiscal year.
The budget will include wide-ranging cuts across state government and add to the number of proposed state employee layoffs.
On Monday, the initial wave of layoffs hit the ranks of state employee with 165 workers losing their jobs. More are expected later today as the state acts to overcome a total proposed deficit of approximately $933 million.
