American City & County: To improve the digital experience of its constituents, San Diego County has modernized it’s citizen-facing website. The old site, a collective of 50 departmental sites with varying requirements, content and missions, was not as easy to navigate as it could be. The old site also lacked mobile-friendliness for citizens on the go. Furthermore, county departments often needed to wait overnight or longer for the third-party IT contractor to deliver site changes or update content. The upgrade took place over the course of 2014.
