Seattle Pi: CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Transit Authority officials say they have a new tool to reduce both bus "bunching" and long waits between buses.
The new technology is known as the Bus Transit Management System. It allows real-time monitoring of buses and better communication between drivers and the CTA control center. The system allows the control center to give drivers instructions to help spread out buses along routes and keep them on schedule.
