The New York Times: Residents of Toledo, Ohio, faced the second day of a ban on the use of tap water on Sunday after the mayor said it was not safe to use because a toxin had been found in the city’s water system.
The mayor, D. Michael Collins, said on Sunday morning that he was not ready to lift a ban on using water provided by the City of Toledo for drinking, brushing teeth or preparing food. The city’s water quality appeared to be improving, he said, but the authorities needed to examine further test results to determine whether the water was safe.
