American City & County: The Lexington, Ky.-based National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) announced the 35 winners of its 2013 Recognition Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Information Technology in State Government. The winners include state initiatives in digital government, interagency collaboration, data management and more, with California winning in seven of the 11 categories. Other big winners include Utah and Massachusetts with four and Michigan and Pennsylvania with three.
