NIH expanding enclave for COVID-19 data with $36M Palantir contract

FedScoop: The National Institutes of Health is now home to the largest centralized collection of COVID-19 patient data in the world, awarding Palantir Technologies a non-competitive $36 million contract for a data enclave over the weekend.

Sought by NIH’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), the secure network for storing and sharing scientific data manages public and private researchers’ access to clinical, laboratory and diagnostic information from healthcare institutions.
