Federal Times: On Oct. 27, the General Services Administration announced it had hired former Pixar executive Rob Cook to head its Technology Transformation Service, and after officially beginning his new role on Oct. 31, Cook published a blog entry titled “Why I’m Joining the Technology Transformation Service.”
Originally published on the GSA blog, and reposted on CIO.gov, the entry touches on the great promise Cook saw that led him from co-developing Oscar-winning, photo-realistic rendering software to running a team comprised of people from the 18F innovation shop, the Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies, and the Presidential Innovation Fellows program.
