Group claims to hack NSA hackers
Federal Times: “How much you pay for enemies cyber weapons?” a group known as the Shadow Brokers asks in an online auction posted to Tumblr on Aug. 15 and later taken down. “We find cyber weapons made by creators of stuxnet.”
The brokers are claiming to have hacked the Equation Group — a hacking team associated with the NSA, according to documents disclosed by Edward Snowden — and are offering a wealth of documents including a “full state sponsor tool set” like Stuxnet, a particularly nasty piece of malware that spent years disrupting Iran’s nuclear program.
