Analysis: U.S. IT Security Workforce Reaches Record Level
Government Info Security: The number of information security analysts in the United States grew by 8 percent in the first three months of 2016, reaching a record 78,300, according to Information Security Media Group's analysis of U.S. government employment data.
At the same time, the size of the information technology workforce - including occupations with IT security responsibilities such as network and computer administrators and computer systems analysts - inched ahead by 1.7 percent in the first quarter to nearly 5 million, also a record.
