Facebook engineer named first director of White House IT
Federal Times: Continuing the administration's trend toward creating new technology positions and hiring top private sector talent to fill them, the White House announced Thursday the appointment of the first Director of White House Information Technology.
David Recordon, former engineering director at Facebook, will take on the new position with a mandate to modernize the White House's technological capabilities.
