Report warns of bloated IT budgets for federal agencies

The Washington Post: The U.S. government spends vastly more than the private sector on information technology but doesn’t receive enough bang for its buck, according to a report from an industry group.

An recent analysis from the International Association of IT Asset Managers found that federal agencies spent an average of $36,000 per employee on IT last year, compared to less than $5,000 per worker in the private sector.
