Feds spending 5 percent of IT budgets on cloud in 2014
Federal Times: Federal agencies are spending about 5 percent of their IT budgets on adopting and adapting to the cloud, according to a new report from IDC Government Insights, which predicts total spending of more than $3 billion by the end of fiscal year 2014.
The new projection — outlined in a report issued Tuesday entitled “Perspectives: Looking Up — U.S. Federal Cloud Forecast Shows Sustained Growth Through 2018” — is close to $1 billion more than the $2.2 billion estimate the Office of Management and Budget made in 2013.
