Federal Times: The Federal Aviation Administration is finishing up a two-year consolidation of its information technology purchasing and contracting operations, a move the agency says will save $36 million this fiscal year.
About 750 agency employees were affected by the consolidation, according to an FAA spokesman. The consolidation did not involve reductions in force and no employees had to move, according to the spokesman.
