Federal Times: Employees of the Environmental Protection Agency have reportedly used Signal, an encrypted messaging application, to discuss the Trump administration’s impact on their agency mission. A new lawsuit filed by a conservative watchdog nonprofit seeks access to any work-related communications, as well as responsive records of EPA efforts to retain this correspondence in accordance with federal records management laws.
Following a still unfulfilled Feb. 2 Freedom of Information Act request, the Cause of Action Institute filed its latest complaint March 21 with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The lawsuit pertains to Signal communications, permissions and policies created or received by EPA officials from Jan. 20, 2017, to the present.
