Government Health IT: A university researcher in Indiana was awarded separate grants of more than $1million each to study ways to improve care for patients with chronic pain and to help patients better understand using Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
For the first grant, Christopher Harle, an associate professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, will receive $1.1 million from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to gather information to give doctors more tools to improve care for patients that suffer from chronic pain.
