The New York Times: WASHINGTON — Lawmakers in Congress will meet on Wednesday to forge final legislation to tackle the country’s deadly opioid epidemic, a day after Democrats, supported by the White House, promised to oppose the bill unless it included far more money for treating addicts.
Also on Tuesday, the Obama administration announced a new rule that would allow doctors to nearly triple the number of patients they can treat with buprenorphine, a drug that is approved to treat opioid addiction.
