DeSalvo's ONC Departure: The Impact
Gov Info Security: If the Senate confirms' President Obama's nomination of Karen DeSalvo, M.D., as assistant secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT would be losing a strong leader but potentially gaining more clout for its various programs, several security experts say. Those programs include proposals for electronic health record interoperability and secure national health information exchange.
