CCHIT to shift from certifying EHRs to counseling on interoperability
Government Health IT: Leaders of the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology say the recent unpredictability of the federal meaningful use testing timeline has caused the organization to make a shift in gameplans. CCHIT will no longer provider EHR certification through its role as an Office of the National Coordinator authorized certification body or via its independently developed certification programs. Instead, it will provide counseling on interoperability.
