North Carolina environment board will set rules for retiring solar farms
Energy News Network: A bill signed into law Friday by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper requires decommissioning rules for utility-scale solar and wind farms by the start of 2022.
The end-of-life regulations will come well before the vast majority of the state’s solar farms are expected to stop operating, and they won’t apply to the state’s one existing wind farm.
