Energy News Network: Missouri’s largest electric utility is defending an ambitious energy efficiency proposal against criticism that it doesn’t deliver enough benefits to customers.
Ameren Missouri filed plans for six-year, $551 million efficiency program in June that includes 15 new programs to help participants conserve energy.
The state’s ratepayer advocate says the plan doesn’t do enough for other customers and could sour the public on energy efficiency programs altogether.
