Renewable Energy World: Regulators in California gave San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) approval to move forward with development of five grid-scale lithium-ion battery projects in San Diego and Orange counties.
The five projects will deliver a total of 83.5 MW/334 MWh to SDG&E’s energy storage portfolio. SDG&E submitted the projects to the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) in April 2017.
