Renewable Energy World: While the Trump administration and Republicans have taken their first steps in the start of the year to follow on promises to reduce government support and policies for clean energy, Democrats who recently took office also are working to achieve change on behalf of clean technologies.
John Fryar with the DailyCamera reported this week that Boulder, Colo., Democratic Sen. Steve Fenberg, who was sworn in on Jan. 11, according to his Facebook page, introduced a bill that would prohibit utilities from charging burdensome fees on residential and small-commercial customers who install energy storage.

Scott Wiener, a newcomer to the California state senate, followed on his successful push to put solar on rooftops in San Francisco with the introduction of a bill that would require solar power on new residential and commercial buildings of 10 stories or less constructed in California.
