Energy Department positioned to meet DATA Act requirements, finds OIG

Federal Times: An Office of Inspector General review of the Department of Energy’s progress implementing the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2014 has found no significant weaknesses, a milestone for a complex process that has been difficult for many agencies.

The DATA Act requires federal agencies to collect and report financial and data elements as established by Department of the Treasury and Office of Management and Budget standards. In addition, the data should be made available to taxpayers via a dedicated website.
