Fuelfix: The Obama administration signaled Tuesday that it would not back legislation to authorize widespread crude exports, as a Republican-led effort to lift decades-old restrictions on foreign oil sales gained steam on Capitol Hill.
“This is a policy decision that is made over at the Commerce Department,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters. “And for that reason, we wouldn’t support legislation like the one that’s been put forward by Republicans.”
