Treehugger: As I was just writing in another article: "One of the great things about electric vehicles is that they not only get better quickly as new generations of batteries and power electronics come out, but even existing EVs get more useful over time as more fast charging stations are built everywhere." A good example of this is a new plan by Michael Bloomberg, New York City's mayor, to add 10,000 public parking spots for electric vehicles over the next 7 years (note that because of the way it's worded, I believe that this doesn't mean 10,000 charging stations, but rather that a station with 4 charging ports would count as 4 EV parking spots).
