Trump: Nauert 'under very serious consideration' for UN ambassador
The Hill: President Trump said Thursday that State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert is "under very serious consideration" to be appointed the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
"She’s been a supporter for a long time and she’s really excellent," Trump told reporters following a speech about immigration.
"We’ll probably make a decision next week," he added. "We have a lot of people who want the job and there are a lot of really great people, but we’ll be talking about that next week sometime."
