Campus Technology: The University of Florida and NVIDIA have announced a $70 million artificial intelligence initiative that includes building what they're claiming to be the fastest AI supercomputer in academia. The university will invest $20 million to create an AI-centric supercomputing and data center. The project comes with a $50 million gift, half pledged by Chris Malachowsky, alumnus and NVIDIA co-founder, and half delivered as in-kind products and services from NVIDIA.
