Chalkbeat: Thousands of Denver teachers took to picket lines Monday to tell the school district it needs to pay them more — and change how they’re paid. But many others stayed in their classrooms, reflecting mixed views among Denver educators.
“It’s about pay but it’s also about respect,” said Ryan Marini, a social studies teacher and football coach at South High School. “We lose great teachers every year.”
