THE Journal: San Diego's Poway Unified School District has installed 6.3 megawatt hours of energy storage in a move that will save it an estimated $1.6 million over the decade-long life of the contract.
The district partnered with Green Charge to deploy the company's technology across 12 elementary, middle and high schools. The 36,000-student district paid no upfront costs for the project and will participate in a power efficiency agreement with the company instead.
